Why a Gaystay?
At Casa426, "gay-friendly" is our baseline—not our limit. We’re here to provide:

Authentic Connection
With an American gay host who has made the transition to living in Guadalajara full time over the last 5 years. He understands the lay of the land and what you are likely to encounter. Unlike your standard hotel or airbnb, he will directly answer your tough questions and help you find your people and what truly interests you.

Beyond the Tourist Map
We’ll connect you with the culture and help you make connections with other gay locals in your area of interest so that you can have unfiltered direct conversations. We have a daily news feed of local events and can forward those that might be of interest

Relevant Insights
If you are considering moving to Mexico, there are 1001 things to consider. Having recently been through the process, we can provide real life insights (including a gay perspective) and strategies to consider beyond the abundance of generic, out-of-date, self-help articles and the abundance of conflicting information you find on FB groups.
The Vision of Casa 426

More than a host—a creator of community.
Casa426 is the passion project of Brian Andrew, who rescued and reimagined a neglected century old casona in the heart of Centro. This isn't just his forever home. It’s the foundation of a simple vision: to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space where anyone can be authentically themselves. Here, you're invited to explore, discover, and genuinely connect with the soul of Guadalajara.

Building Gay Community Together
A core mission of Casa426 is to actively foster and support Guadalajara's vibrant LGBTQ+ ecosystem. Brian works to help local gay organizers and entrepreneurs create and grow their own ventures.
-
In 2025, we provided the venue for a well-attended "Gaydalajara" Posada, helping an online community connect in person
-
We occasionally host one of the regular Sunday meetups for "Queers in Guadalajara," a growing FB group that brings together both locals and foreigners.
-
We’ve supported community entrepreneurs by hosting pop-up dinners and intimate live music events, turning Casa426 into a catalyst for local creativity.

A Nudist Friendly Santuary
For those who embrace the clothing-optional lifestyle, Casa426 offers a unique, judgment-free sanctuary. Our private roof deck is a sun-drenched space where houseguests are free to bear all. When all houseguests agree, this clothing-free option can extend throughout the entire property. We are an active member of the small but growing Guadalajara nudist community and host several social nudist events here throughout the year, fostering a spirit of body positivity and liberation.
